Avoid the Rush Hour

Especially for new learners, we strongly recommend that you find a fairly quiet time of day in which to practice your driving. There’s nothing more intimidating for a new learner than to be driving during rush hour amongst impatient drivers.

We recommend practicing in the evening after 6pm or in the morning after 9am although some areas may differ. The best thing to do is to ask your driving instructor what hours of the day are best for practicing, and which roads tend to be the quietest in your particular area.

It may be that you take your driving lessons in a busy town, but try practicing your driving in the quieter locations such as Halton or Horsforth or wherever in your own area that suits you.
