Applying For a Provisional Licence

Just Driving
One of the first things you will need to do before you begin your driving lessons, is to apply for a provisional driving licence. This document will entitle you to drive a car prior to passing your test, but only whilst accompanied by a fully licensed passenger. It therefore enables you to practice your driving and to take driving lessons legally.

You can apply for a provisional licence quickly and easily through the DVLA (Driving and Vehicle Licensing Agency) online for just £45, as long as you meet the prerequisites outlined on the following page:
www.direct.gov.uk/provisional

If you prefer, it is also possible to apply for your provisional licence in person or by post, by just filling out a D1 application form. These are available from most post offices, or from the DVLA ordering service:
www.dvla.gov.uk/forms

Once you have obtained your provisional driving licence, you can get in touch with us at any of our driving schools in Cross Green, Armley, Beeston, and the surrounding area.
