Prevent your car from skidding whilst on your Driving Lessons in Yorkshire
When you are with your driving instructors in Yorkshire they will prevent you from skidding unless you are in icy or snowy bad weather conditions. It could even be water on the road that could cause you to skid because these are the main factors where skidding is most likely to occur.
Although skidding is as a result of bad driving it is expected when you are on your driving lessons in Yorkshire because obviously your are learning and will not have the experience to deal with very bad weather. However to avoid skidding in the future don’t drive at an inappropriate speed, or aggressively steer, brake or accelerate violently in bad weather.
The main question to ask yourself to avoid skidding is to just think about the amount of grip that’s available to your car to how fast you are going.
Your driving instructors in Yorkshire will tell you exactly the same thing when on your lessons. In poor weather conditions you should:
- Slow down so you have more control over your car
- Increase your stopping distance to the car in front of you. When it’s icy you may skid further than you think.
- Take more care when approaching corners or bends. Steering aggressively is one of the causes when skidding so take this into account.
- Be more gentle and progressive when braking, steering and accelerating, icy areas can be tricky to manoeuvre around without skidding.
Hopefully this will avoid you from skidding when on your driving lessons in the future, our driving schools in Yorkshire hope that you take these rules under consideration and drive safely.
