How long should I be with my driving schools Leeds?

Many people have many different answers to this question, some based on their own experience with their driving schools Leeds whilst others just take educated guesses. Below are some of the answers that are commonly thrown about and we will provide some explanation to these.

  • You should only be with your driving schools for 10 hours
  • You should be with your driving schools for at least 100 hours
  • It takes an average of around 50 hours to learn how to drive
  • Different pupils learn at different speeds and therefore it depends on the individual

The first answer is incorrect; nobody has even learnt to drive with just 10 hours in a car with their driving school as it isn't long enough to learn everything on the driving syllabus. Although in some cases pupils have only took 20- 25 hours with their driving schools in Leeds and around 70 hours more with their parents, brothers or sister in their own car. It takes a lot longer to learn with someone who isn't a professional as they can't teach you as effectively and pin point your problem areas.

The second answer doesn't usually apply and again this is another extreme as the one before. In only extremely rare cases do pupils have 100 hours with their driving schools as it becomes very expensive and most pupils reach test standard long before they reach 100 hours. Don't worry if you do need this amount of tuition as some don't pick up driving as quickly as others and it's not based on how intelligent you are. Our best advice to learn faster is to listen to what your instructor is saying very carefully to take as much from your tuition as possible.

The third answer is accurate and from our experience the average pupil takes around 50 lessons before going in for their driving test in Leeds. Some a little less if they practice outside of lessons as they gain more experience that the people who don't.

The final answer is probably even more accurate and applies in most cases. Different pupils learn at different speeds and there isn't an allotted amount of time that you should be with your driving schools Leeds.

There are extreme cases where pupils take fewer hours to learn and some take more but from our experience the average seems to lie at around 50 hours tuition. Don't let the average determine when you put in for your driving test, some are ready for their test before this and some are ready after, hence why we choose the last answer as the more favourable one.
